Johnson's Seagrass is similar to Paddle grass.
Johnson's seagrass was first described in the Indian River Lagoon in 1980.
It is distributed from central Biscayne Bay to Sebastian Inlet with the thickest bed occuring near the Lake Worth Inlet.
It is considered a Threatened Species by the National Marine Fisheries Service.
